Week 6 and 7: Bugs, rain, and other challenging forcesby brian So we’re a good two or three weeks into the performances, and I have to say that I think they are going pretty good. Of course there have been some forces that make it harder to perform, like seemingly planned short torrents of rain, or clouds of bugs on and backstage, or the strength of the actors breaking the props, but those are just funny little experiences that will never let me forget this summer. That’s right! We have almost every natural force pelt our stage that Lake Tahoe can offer, but then it seems to clear away again. The only thing that hasn’t happened is snow, but we aren’t done yet. But the performances don’t seem to be affected that much. Richard III has been getting great reviews and audiences seem to enjoy it. Midsummer is a great show and the seats are just selling out. The mass of people at the show last night blew me away simply because I didn’t know the venue could hold that many. Cambio is looking really good for the next couple weeks. Life outside theatre is great. I don’t have to be at Sand Harbor usually until six and have been achieving some goals I set for myself this summer, e.g. reading books, finishing video games, and losing more weight. So its going pretty well. |
